The same year he was named Assistant in the Department of Stomatology and Oral Surgery (Prof. G. Donno Flora), and later joined the Division of Dental Radiology and Maxillofacial Radiology (Prof. F. Pasler).

It was in this unit that he obtained his "Doctorat en Medecine Dentaire' and, later, the degree of "Maitre Assistant" while working as a doctor of dentistry in private practice.
Soon he took over the practice of Dr. Frederic Urfer, 8 rue de St. Leger in Geneva, ending his activities at the University of Geneva.

While working in private practice, he developed a particular interest in implantology, in close collaboration with Dr. Werner Hafliger (Maxillofacial Surgery, FMH). He gives postgraduate lectures for the Mathys implant company and for Nobel Biocare. His professional contacts with Dr. Francesca Vailati led to the creation of the Geneva Dental Team.
